Français

I’m a professional French to English and Japanese to English translator and editor based in the UK.

As a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting with an MA in Applied Translation Studies, I provide certified translations of your official documents, for use with UK government bodies, employers and academic institutions.

I also offer specialised translation and editing services for tech brands. I have over 6 years of experience translating and editing apps, games, websites and marketing content – from social media posts to help pages and sales presentations.

I’m passionate about inclusive language and accessibility, and formally trained in subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing and audio description script writing for English-language film and television.

Certified translation

Are you moving to the UK, or applying to a UK university or job, from a French-speaking country? Then you probably need a certified translation service. I’m here to help.

What is a certified translation?

Certified translations can be used in formal procedures such as passport and visa applications and legal proceedings such as marriage and divorce. They may also be required when applying for jobs or university courses in the UK.

As a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) with an MA (Distinction) in Applied Translation Studies, I can translate your documents to be used by official bodies in the UK, including:

The Home Office

The Passport Office

Most foreign embassies in the UK

The UK Border Agency

UK universities

My certified translations are always completed in line with industry standards. I will match the formatting of your original document as closely as possible, and provide a certificate that contains the standard wording, signature and seal required by UK official bodies.

Note: Unlike other countries, such as France, the UK doesn’t have a sworn translation system. UK official bodies use certified translations instead.
